"It's a String Thing" #274

It's the day after Tuesday and it is still your good news day!

I trust that I am not the only one who has had difficulty keeping up with what day it is as the holidays seemed to add weekends in the middle of the weeks.

So here is our challenge, just a day behind...

Let's ring in the New Year with this string ~

IAST #274 String by Adele Bruno, CZT
Ringing in the New Year '19

The tangles we will use include ~

Centipede by Maria Thomas and Rick Roberts
While this is an older tangle, Mollie Hollibaugh, CZT featured it in one of the 12 Days of Zentangle® videos and Linda Farmer, CZT highlighted it on TanglePatterns two weeks ago.
It reminded me of jingle bells and since we are "ringing in" the New Year, it will be fun to incorporate it in our tiles.

Lex by Angie Gittles, CZT
In searching for a grid based pattern, this one popped up - and it's from frequent IAST contributor, Angie Gittles - a double bonus!  It is simple and festive and will add some fun to our tiles.

That's it!  At this late time in the week, we will use just a two tangles and a nod to the New Year 2019 with our string.

Keep in mind that the string is a suggestion, let the tangles lead the way.

Feel free to use any size and color of tile.

I will post these results during the week of December 10.  Have fun with the extra time!
