We are skipping right along into this New Year with our two hundred seventy-fifth adventure together. The results of IAST #274 are almost up and ready so please check back later in the day for those.
For now, let us begin with this happy little string ~
IAST String #275 by Adele Bruno, CZT A for Appreciation and Attitude |
My inspiration for this challenge came from Molly Hollibaugh's latest post on the Zentangle blog, Winter Whine. In it, Molly writes about her mother's positive attitude about doing dishes. She expands on Maria's ability to turn something drab into something joyful and applies that to her attitude about New England winters.
It is a story that I can readily relate to, as I am sure many of us can...
Years ago, my sister-in-law, Donna, sent this small plaque with saying that ties in Molly's theme.
I keep it propped up on my kitchen windowsill.
Molly's post is timely for the start of the year. It applies to many of the seemingly mundane chores we preform each day that are transformed by appreciation and a positive attitude. As St. Mother Teresa once said, "Not all of us can do great things, but we can do small things with great love."
Don't we all love tangling for similar reasons? We begin with appreciation and carry a love for all things tangled as we fill our tiles.
With those thoughts in mind, here are the tangles we will use with this week's string ~
Pots-N-Pans by Sayantika Ray
A cheeky choice, wouldn't you agree?!
Zeppo by CZT Ria Matheuseen
This is Ria's latest on TanglePatterns. Orbs, orbs, and more orbs...and I am reminded of soap bubbles!
And continuing on the bubble theme -

Keep in mind that the string is a suggestion, let the tangles lead the way.
Feel free to use any size and color of tile.
