As we begin our sixth year together (woohoo!), let's start with this string inspired by the Roman numeral VI (six) ~
|IAST #261 String by Adele Bruno, CZT|
In search for tangles that involved the number six in some way, I chose these ~
3-Loops-6 by CZT Mina Hsiao
In addition to having a six connection, it just looks like fun to draw.
Hexonu by CZT Cherryl Moote (pronounced hex on you)
This is a mesmerizing pattern.
At first glance I thought it was too similar to Tripoli, but I quickly realized that it has its own unique characteristics. In a way, it is simpler than Tripoli to draw and it can be embellished in any of your favorite Tripoli ways as well.
Both tangles can also be found on TanglePatterns.
Keep in mind that strings are merely suggestions. As with all IAST adventures, simply pencil in the string and let the tangles lead the way.
