"It's a String Thing" #156 A Very Happy Third Birthday

It is Tuesday, your good news day and it is our birthday!

In the past three years, more than 300 tanglers from across the globe have participated in "It's a String Thing" challenges.  A supportive, encouraging, and creative Zentangle® community gathers here and there is always room for more.  Please join in!

For today's celebration, the beginning of our fourth year (yippee!),  let's begin with this happy string ~
IAST 3rd Birthday String by Adele Bruno, CZT

Here is a suggestion on how to draw the string in one continuous line - not necessary, but fun to do :)

The tangles we will use include:

O my newest tangle
It will be a personal treat to see how others use this pattern.

Once I selected O, the O's won my heart, so here are three more tangles that begin with the letter O ~
One for each year and one for good measure.

Onomato and
Opus by Maria Thomas and Rick Roberts, Zentangle founders
- classic tangles that we all love.

Orbs-la-Dee by Anneke van Dam
This "fits the bill" for a grid based pattern in our challenge this week.

The step outs for the tangles can be found by clicking on their names above, or by visiting TanglePatterns.  Use as few or as many as you would like.

Simply pencil the string line onto your tile and tangle away!

Here are the (Not so) Official Guidelines:
