"It's a String Thing" #269

It's Tuesday, your good news day!

One of the gems that I took away from my time at zenAgain was a very simple and soothing exercise that involved using one tangle in two sizes.

The idea is to begin in one corner of a tile until the tangle covers about half of the space.
In the first step, work larger than usual with your tangle.
Once that is complete (by that I been finished to your liking), turn your tile and begin from the opposite corner tangling much smaller until your two sides meet.

Here is a little Bijou of mine using Crescent Moon to illustrate:

Shading adds depth and drama, especially where the two sizes meet.  This convergence will naturally happen as you tangle.

The tangle we will use is Soluna by CZT Pegi Schargel.
This tangle layers beautifully and lends itself to endless embellishing.

So here we go...the steps one more time...

*Begin in one corner
*Think "large" as you tangle inward
*Stop when about half of the tile is full (Every one will have a different, approximate mid-line.)
*Turn the tile
*Begin in the opposite corner
*Think "small" as you tangle inward
*Shade

Feel free to use any size and color of tile.  This will be fun!

Here are the (Not so) Official Guidelines:
