"It's a REAL LIFE String Thing" #30

Now this Tuesday is your good news day, for sure!

For this challenge we are using a page from Sindy P's new book Real Life Strings©.

If you missed my review of the book, click here to read all about it.  You can also click here to view Sindy's website, see excerpts from her book - and order one while you're there!

Sindy uses her photographs from around the world, adjusts them, and makes them tangle ready.  Instead of drawing a string to begin tangling, the lines on her pictures serve as the string lines - it's so much fun!

When I suggested that we use one of the pages from her book for this week's challenge, Sindy chose this one -

She said that this photograph of a paved driveway in Winter Park, Florida, was the one that gave her the "Aha!" moment - that lead to the creation of her fabulous book.

To begin, right click on the image and you will be able to save it to your computer.

Once it is saved, print it onto the paper of your choice.
(I cut my good drawing paper to size and feed it into my printer.)

As for the size of the image - the images in Real Life Strings© are approximately 4 x 5 inches but please choose what works best for you.

In honor of Sindy P we will use tangles that begin with the letters 'Pe'.  They include:

Pea-nuckle,
Pendrills, and
Pepper- Zentangle patterns
Peaks Border by Suzanne McNeill, CZT
Pegs by Arja de Lange-Huisman

If you have a favorite tangle pattern that begins with the letter 'P' - feel free to use to that as well.

These patterns and step outs can be found here on Tangle Patterns.

The creator of the tile selected for honors will be awarded a signed copy of Sindy's book! This is all very exciting and promises to be especially fun to complete.

Here are the (Not so) Official Guidelines:
* Challenges are posted on Tuesdays.
*Use the string posted for the week and patterns that begin or contain the letter(s) indicated
