"It's a String Thing" #297

It's Tuesday, your good news day!

On July 17, 2014, I posted a story and pictures of a Tea that my dear friend Sindy P and I organized for a Zentangle® milestone.  (Click here for the link.)  It was the tenth anniversary of the first public class that Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas taught to introduce their new art form.
And we all know the rest of that tale!

If my math is correct, next Wednesday will mark the fifteenth anniversary of that very class.

It is incredible to think of the influence practicing the Zentangle Method has had on all of us here in the IAST community, and on tanglers the world over.

In celebration, let's begin with this string ~

XV - IAST #297 String by Adele Bruno, CZT
Cheers to 15 years of Zentangle!

The tangles we will use include ~

Zenith
Click here for my Tips for Tangling Zenith, here for the listing on TanglePatterns, and here for the link to Tangle List.
Besides having a fitting name for our prompt, this is a crowd favorite.

Here is the fun part - add to Zenith two or more of your favorite tangles by Rick and Maria.  As noted above, there are several excellent online reference guides to their tangles if you need to refresh your memory with an old favorite or to pick a few new ones!

In your emails, please include the names of the tangles you use.  It will provide a quick guide to tanglers who may want to look up the step outs.

Feel free to use any shape tile you wish - square, Bijou, 3z, zendala...

Have a wonderful rest of the week.
