"It's a String Thing" #256

It's Tuesday, your good news day!

Our home is bustling this week with a flurry of family celebrations.  In a large family, there are bound to be overlapping happy times, but this week is especially unique as we move our youngest back to college, mark my parent's 63rd wedding anniversary, celebrate the marriage of our third daughter,  host a baby shower for our oldest son and his sweet wife, and toast to the 23rd birthday of our youngest son.  WHEW!

With Isabella on the long drive back to college.

We are eternally grateful for the many blessings and even more grateful that we still have the energy to keep up!

The results of IAST #255 will be a bit delayed, but we will stay on schedule with new challenges.

Today let's begin with this string ~

IAST String #256 by Adele Bruno, CZT

Ideally, this challenge would be completed on a zendala but can easily be adapted to a standard square tile.  Simply draw the circular sting and have fun!

Since Ria Matheussen, CZT, has the newest pattern posted on TanglePatterns, let's use her creations in our tiles this week.  Her tangles include  ~

Mazorito
This new tangle from Ria makes a beautiful border, hence the circular string.  Use it along the circular string, or in lines across it - the choice is yours.

Hexa
This dot grid tangle is a nice compliment to Mazorit.

Horti
Much like Tagh and Anitdots, this tangle grows freely.  It should flow nicely as a filler.

Keep in mind that strings are merely suggestions. As with all IAST adventures, simply pencil in the string and let the tangles lead the way.

Here are the (Not so) Official Guidelines:
