First, I am happy to say that I am back from a few weeks away from my computer.
I am "after" some reconstructive surgery on my ankle - very happy to be sitting up again and even more eager to figure out a way to tangle on the cast I am in. :)
Thanks to all of you for checking in every day, for the kind compliments on My Summer Project, and for keeping up with the challenges. Even though I could not write, I did receive your notes and emails and I am indebted.
The results of the last few week's "It's a String Thing" will be posted over the next few days and then we will be all caught up.
In the meantime - today marks a very special day in the history of Tickled To Tangle.
It is the first birthday of "It's a String Thing"!
I love birthdays and this one is very special.
To mark the occasion, I created this string ~
|"It's a String Thing" Birthday String by Adele Bruno, CZT|
In perusing TanglePatterns over the last few days, I see that much happens in the world of Zentangle® in a very short time. While I was away, some very lovely tangles have been published and so we will use a few of them this week.
Meringue by CZT Kelley Kelly
A-Fog by Kathy Redmond
Roscoe by Vicki Bassett
Kitl by Jem Miller AKA Ragged Ray
And for sentimental reasons, we will also use CZT Margaret Bremner's pattern
Lotus Pods. The very first challenge featured this wonderful tangle.
You can find step outs and links to these patterns on TanglePatterns.
Use as few or as many patterns as you wish.
Simply pencil the string line onto your tile and tangle away!
Here are the (Not so) Official Guidelines:
