Happy 300th "It's a String Thing" to all "It's a String Thingers"* far and wide!
It is a pleasure to present the tiles for this grand celebration. We used a string inspired by the numeral 300 along with my new Ada and tangles from IAST #100 and #200.
Each tile is a treasure and the loving sentiments that accompanied them are gifts in themselves. Thank you all.

Best wishes to you and your big family - it was certainly not only a big challenge to make a picture of all your seven, it also was a big task for you to bring up seven children, who have become such pleasant and beautiful young adults!

From Ingrid (The Netherlands) ~
Congratulations with the 300th IAST Challenge. Wow, what a milestone.Thank you, Ingrid, and safe travels to you.
Thank you so much for all you did week after week to tickle us to tangle.
Some zentangles flowed straight out of the pen while others were more like brain teasers. But you always keep us sharp and you are always encouraging us with your positiveness and loving words. And as far as I know you never skipped one week to provide us with a challenge. Chapeau.
I love your newest tangle ADA and liked to play with it.
My tile this week flowed straight out of the pen. It is a simple tile with not many embellishments, but I think that the suggested tangles are beautiful of their own and do not need to be embellished much.
I really wanted to participate in this challenge # 300 but I also planned a few days family visit in another part of The Netherlands this week. So I was a bit in time shortage and I am glad that I managed to make the tile.
I loved to see the picture of all your beautiful children together.
Much love and have a blessed week

WOW! 300 certainly calls for a celebration. Thanks Adele for inspiring so many of us tanglers to play with new strings and tangles. It has been fun, though I’ve not even come close to doing all 300. Maybe I’ll make the next 300 but I’m sure it’ll be ‘do some, miss some’ and as always will be fun. Looking forward to many more IAST’s. I’m sure the gold doesn’t show up very well in the scan, but knew there had to be gold for such a milestone! Enjoyed all 3 of these new to me tangles.
Thank you, Sue, I am happy to have you join in whenever you can.

Congratulations on bringing us all to IAST300! You have been so inspiring and creative - Thank You! This was much fun indeed. ( I thought my tile was finished in black and white, then thought 'this is a celebration that calls for color!' So I started in with my Tombow Dual Brush pens. Got a little out of control, but that's okay!)...and yours as well, thank you, Mariam.
Your family, by the way, is beautiful! Thank you for sharing your photos. Hope the remainder of your summer is filled with joy and peaceful beauty.

What a milestone! A huge thank you to you, for your ongoing commitment and care and for bringing us all together, from far and wide, week after week with your strings and tangle selections!Ah, Jem, you make it look so easy - and sound so easy, too - but that Ada variation is just remarkable!
I don't know what gave me the greatest pleasure - tangling a tile for your 300th challenge, knowing I've been following the challenges for almost the entire time, playing with three of your centenary tangles - or getting to know your charming new tangle. Ada is delightful - and so ripe for variation - here is another for your collection - gently rounded, doubled, then cut through in Wholly Hollibaugh style!
Here's to another 300 if you think you can cope!
Thank you for the good wishes and for your steadfast company.

From Ria Matheussen, CZT (Belgium) ~
I'm glad to have the opportunity of joining your challenge number 300. IThank you, Ria, and the same good wishes to you and your family, too.
have learned so much by following those challenges. As I wrote before,
they are sometimes easy, sometimes difficult but always interesting.
I 've made a few sketches with the given string but I was not satisfied
about the result. That is why I chose for something else but I used only
your tangles with addition of the lovely Mel Mel, which is one of my
favorite tangles.
I love to draw in the round and hope you will like this zendala.
Thank you so much Adele for challenging us every week again and
especially for the wonderful presentation of our tiles.
I wish you and your beautiful family lots of happy moments and
especially all of you a good health!
I'm grateful to be a member of the I.A.S.T. tanglefamily.
Warm regards from Belgium
Tangled Tidbits -
*brilliant orbiting tangles - love the addition of Mel Mel
*touches of highlights, white spaces, dots and a 300!
From Amy Lilien-Harper, CZT (Connecticut) ~
It’s good to be back! Thanks for the extra week. I found the string challenging to use with these tangles, which all seemed to want to go into straight lines. Finally, I used each number for one of the three tangles, and then tied it all together with Tripoli, which seemed appropriate given all of the threes here. I particularly enjoyed both Ada and 100. I hope you like it!Yes, very much!
Tangled Tidbits -
*lovely evenness of line and spacing
*pretty contrast with light and dark perfs
From Cheryl (Missouri) ~

I enjoyed using all these tangles, and looking forward to taking part in the next 300.

Good morning and congratulations!
I haven’t been tangling for weeks — other artwork is keeping me busy— but I just couldn’t miss the opportunity to celebrate your great achievement. It really is amazing how long you’ve been teaching and inspiring a worldwide community!
I used your 300 string and Henrike Bratz's variation of Ada. Then instead of the 100 pattern, I changed it to 300. It was fun and soothing to do.
Once again congratulations and best wishes for 300 more!
Tangled Tidbits -

From Sue Agnew (Tucson, Arizona - currently on vacation) ~
I'm doing this with one finger on my phone so hopefully will be less wordy!Fun, friendship, and lots of tangling - thank you, Sue!
Congratulations on 300 — that's an almost six-year accomplishment!
The (fun) challenge this week was how to use three border tangles. So I decided to make One Hundred into a grid. Not sure it fades into the background as much as I'd hoped. The "printed c" version of C-Perf reminded me of one of my favorite tangles, Inapod, so I made c's into peas. Then made myself go out of my comfort zone a little to try a cursive variation. Ada was fun. I kept it plain because I was playing with "coiling" it. I also tried a "zigzag fold" version but it took more concentration than I was able to muster.
Thank you so much for years of fun and friendship!
Tangled Tidbits -
*tangles rise over 100 grid
*a light and airy look, with just enough dark spaces and weighted line to ground the tangles
From Kathy (British Columbia, Canada) ~
Congratulations Adele! 300 strings is a lot of work...a huge commitment and I thank you. I look forward each week to seeing the wonderful ideas and inspiration that other amazing tanglers send in. And of course I can hardly wait to see the new string and tangles to try. "Ada" is a wonderful tangle...so many possibilities! Also a name I will remember as my granddaughter is also Aida ( just a different spelling) and she loves to zentangle with me!Many thanks, Kathy. I am so happy to know that we share a granddaughter name.

Three hundred prompts and strings, thousands of tangles and tiles, hundreds of artists, countless amounts of effort, encouragement, creativity and fun—-what a wonderful milestone to celebrate! You, Adele, have been our guide, our mentor, our inspiration and the one who has made possible this amazing way for us to share and grow.Thank you for that summary of IAST and for the kudos, too. Tangled Tidbits -
*one lovely tangle variation for each string section
*Ada filled background spaces
Lastly, this is my tile. I tangled this in three different sessions and now I see that is very apparent. My favorite is the area around the 3 with rounded corners everywhere. It was the last section that I tangled, or I would have drawn the entire tile this way. I added a few stray black perfs in an attempt to tie it all together.
My heartfelt, endless gratitude to each and every
"It's a String Thinger".
Week after week, YOU make this fun, eventful, inspiring, compelling.
Cheers our next milestone!
Thank you for the round-up, Adele! I wanted to add that I enjoy seeing the pictures of your family and other activities but don't always comment on them due to my blog-reading patterns - it's generous of you to share all that with us.
