"It's a String Thing" #281

It's Tuesday, your good news day!

I am back from a fabulous "Gramma time" and very slowly getting back into my daily groove.  The glorious results of IAST #280 are almost ready so please check back this afternoon for those.

We are finishing up the month of February (where did that go?!) and beginning the month of March.

The adage "March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb" has been repeating in my head all day.  Here in Central Florida the weather is overcast, raining, and breezy.

Bold, stark black and white tangles seem fitting for this week's challenge and the beginning of March, so let us begin with this string ~

IAST String by Adele Bruno, CZT

The high contrast tangles we will use include ~

Bitten by CZT Carole Ohl
This square grid tangle turns into a familiar pattern - so much fun!

Pinwheels by CZT Suzanne McNeill
This begins as a square grid and then is further divided into triangles.

Strircles by Maria Thomas and Rick Roberts
This will give us a round option.
Scroll down to view Maria's step out and examples.

There we have it - a bold square, triangular, and circular tangle for our string.

While three are suggested, you may find that only one or two fit your tangling mood when you sit down to complete this challenge.

Keep in mind that the string is a suggestion, let the tangles lead the way.

Here are the (Not so) Official Guidelines:
