"It's a String Thing" #149

It's Tuesday, your good news day!

This week, in the United States, we celebrate Father's Day - June 19 to be exact. The response to our Mother's Day string was so wonderful, let's celebrate our fathers and father figures with this string ~

IAST #149 Father's Day String by Adele Bruno, CZT

The first letters of tangles used this week spell out D-A-D and they include:

Dex by Maria Thomas, Zentangle® co-founder
This gives us a grid based, lovely tangle to work with.

Afterglow by Carole Ohl, CZT
I've long loved this patterns.  Click here to read my Tips for Tangling it.

Double D by Judy Murphy
How appropriate is the name of this tangle?!  It gives us some creative license to use it along a string line or as a filler.

  1. Again I find myself so pleasantly surprised after completing this tile! One thing I really love about these challenges - not only discovering new tangles but putting them together in ways I wouldn't have done before and having such an unexpectedly lovely outcome. Thanks Adele!

  2. I had a very similar experience completing this challenge, must be the magic of Zentangle :)
