Wednesday's Words of Wisdom

Pablo Picasso once said, "It took me four years to paint like Raphael, but a lifetime to paint like a child."

This quote rang true when I was presented this portrait of myself teaching a Zentangle® class just yesterday ~

It was a gift from a beautiful little girl who attended one of my classes with her mother.

Isn't it a treasure?!  She captured my easel, the word Zentangle and distinguishable square logo, my apron, my hair, and even my smile.  I told her I would treasure it always and asked her permission to post it.

Would I prefer a painting of myself by the likes of Raphael, or even a photograph for that matter?  Absolutely not.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you, Mia.

  1. Beautiful portrait! I love how children see things and draw them. There are no worries, just pure creative enjoyment! :)
