"It's a String Thing" #259

It's Tuesday, your good news day!

We are just one week away from celebrating our FIFTH IAST birthday - woohoo!  Mark your calendar and plan to join in the fun.

But first, let's finish this year strong with an exercise in layering and filling as we begin with Hollibaugh and this string ~
IAST String #259 by Adele Bruno, CZT
The tangles we will use include ~

Hollibaugh by Maria Thomas
Use Hollibaugh along the existing string lines or follow your own paths.
Your doubled Hollibaugh lines will be the 'channels' to fill in with the tangles listed below.

7Keys by CZT Teresa Clerc
This is not as precise a tangle as it may appear at first glance.  Try not to think too much about spacing and angles, just have fun with it.

Sling-Slang by Lisette Hofer
This curvy tangle will add contrast to the other two -  besides, it will be a treat to use a creation of Lisette's, a IAST contributor since she sent in a tile for IAST #168.

Diamonte by CZT Carol Therrien
This tangle can be as simple or detailed as you wish.

Keep in mind that strings are merely suggestions. As with all IAST adventures, simply pencil in the string and let the tangles lead the way.

Here are the (Not so) Official Guidelines:
