"It's a String Thing" #172

It's Tuesday, your good news day!
It is also Thanksgiving week here in the United States.

Highlights of our celebration include cherished family time, a feast of turkey, stuffing, and pumpkin pie, the Macy's Day Parade followed by football games and more pie.
After the mealtime prayer, we take turns around the dinner table to say aloud what we thank God for, especially the blessings of the past year.

At zenAgain, the ever delightful Mary Bartrop, CZT taught us something she does that goes along with our theme of gratitude this week.

When beginning a tile, Mary adds one more step.  She lightly pencils the dots, border, string, and then in each string section, she writes what/who she is grateful for.  When the tile is complete, the words are not visible, but she knows they are there.  Isn't that special?

For this challenge, after you pencil the string onto your tile, lightly pencil your blessings in each of the string's sections and then tangle away.

Let's begin with this string ~

IAST #172 by Adele Bruno, CZT

The tangles we will use include:

Cubine

Ennies

Fescu

All three tangles  are by Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas, to whom we owe a debt of gratitude for this wonderful art form we call Zentangle®.

Keep in mind that string lines are suggestions and let the patterns lead the way.
